'account name' field fill in your choice. I put "Gmail".
'mail services' select "other"

tap the 'Advanced' button, takes you to 'incoming server setting' page
'port number:' fill in "995"
put a check in the 'use Secure connection (ssl)' box.
NO check in the 'use authentication (apop)' box.

put a check in the 'use Secure connection (ssl)' box.
put a check in the 'use authentication (esmtp) box.
should auto fill 'username' should auto fill 'password' tap "done" button. tap "ok" button. tap "get" button. should retrieve gmail. check smtp outgoing by tapping the 'new' button and sending a email to yourself.
